Lestat Learns Of The "Interview" In Latest Clip For AMC's "THE VAMPIRE LESTAT" (Video)

Lestat is hardly known as a happy-go-lucky type, but to call him temperamental would be an understatement—and one that could get you killed. In a new clip AMC released for the upcoming season of the network’s smash hit "Interview With The Vampire", Sam Reid takes center stage as Lestat de Lioncourt. The third season has even been retitled accordingly: "The Vampire Lestat". How apt.

From The Press Release: Featuring stars Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson, the new scene, “The Book,” offers a glimpse at Lestat’s (Reid) reaction to the release of Daniel Molloy’s (Eric Bogosian) book, Interview with the Vampire, ahead of the series’ June premiere on AMC and AMC+.

In the new rock-and-roll-centric season, The Vampire Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by “muses” from his wild and rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rise, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population.

In addition to Reid and Anderson, The Vampire Lestat stars Assad Zaman, Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle, and is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson, creator, writer, and showrunner Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.

The scene comes hot on the heels of the recent debut of “Long Face,” Lestat’s first official rock single, and the new season is turning up the volume with a lineup of infectious new tracks set to roll out in the coming months. AMC Networks and Lakeshore Records released the single on the newly launched Vampire Lestat artist profile pages at major digital music services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. The song’s original music and lyrics, by series’ composer Daniel Hart and performed by Reid, will be featured in the series.
