Warner Bros. Announce Release Dates For "FINAL DESTINATION 7, "GLADYS", And "The Revenge Of La Llorna"

While Vegas is known for slot machines and people losing their minds on cheap drinks and pretty lights, but during the month of April, Sin City turns into cinema "mecca" as it were when CINEMA CON takes over Caesar's Palace, and there is usually some killer news.

Warner Bros. took to the event to announce that not one but three new films have been greenlit and release dates have been provided for the following films.

"The Revenge of La Llorona" is currently slated to arrive on April 9, 2027, followed by "Final Destination 7" on May 12, 2028. Not long after, "Gladys" is expected to land on September 8, 2028.

Behind the camera on "The Revenge of La Llorona" is Santiago Menghini, who first made noise with his 2021 feature "No One Gets Out Alive". This time around, he’s stepping into a much bigger sandbox, bringing the Weeping Woman back for another round.

The cast mixes familiar faces with some new additions. Jay Hernandez, Monica Raymund, Edy Ganem, Martín Fajardo, Acston Luca Porto, and Avie Porto are all onboard, alongside Raymond Cruz, who reprises his role as Rafael Olvera, the curandero who knows exactly what kind of evil he’s dealing with.

The story centers on a fractured family dragged back together when La Llorona resurfaces. Old wounds, buried history, and unfinished business all come to the surface as they’re forced to rely on an estranged grandfather to stand any chance of stopping her before she takes more children.

Over in franchise territory, "Final Destination 7" is moving forward with Lori Evans Taylor, one of the writers behind "Final Destination Bloodlines", handling the script. Michiel Blanchart, who’s been gaining attention with "Night Call", is reportedly being eyed to direct, though nothing has been locked in just yet.

Then there’s "Gladys", a prequel digging into the origins of the character played by Amy Madigan in "Weapons". It’s still unclear if she’ll return, but the writing team is already set, with Zach Cregger teaming up with Zach Shields, whose credits include "Krampus" and "Godzilla: King of the Monsters."

If these dates hold, the late 2020s are shaping up to be stacked with ghosts, fate, and whatever Gladys has waiting in her purse. We'll see where all these land as the year goes and as usual, things always change.
