Disney has finally leaned into the inevitable. After decades of fans pledging lifelong devotion to the Haunted Mansion, the park is making it official. Beginning July 2026, couples can now get married on the front steps of Disneyland’s most beloved haunted estate, proving once and for all that romance doesn’t have to be bright, pastel, or alive.
As part of its 35th anniversary celebration, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons has announced the Haunted Mansion Courtyard as a brand-new ceremony location. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Morning vows, before the park opens, spoken beneath looming columns and an eerily elegant façade that has watched generations of guests shuffle inside to meet the afterlife. If you’ve ever joked about wanting a wedding with more ghosts than bridesmaids, Disney is now very serious about taking your money.

A Ceremony With Spirits Included
The Haunted Mansion Courtyard is strictly intimate. Ceremonies are capped at 25 guests, including the couple, which feels appropriate for a venue best known for whispering secrets and trapping people in rooms. Weddings take place early in the morning, when the park is quiet, and the atmosphere feels closer to a séance than a celebration. We've been in the park before opening, and we must say, it does indeed have an eerie vibe to it.
The package includes a dedicated officiant, light décor, photography, and transportation to and from Disneyland Resort hotels. Disney-required floral, décor, entertainment, and photography services apply, meaning your eternal love will be professionally themed and meticulously controlled. Minimal lighting is included, which honestly works in everyone’s favor. Shadows are part of the charm.
According to Disney Weddings marketing director Korri McFann, modern couples want venues that reflect who they are and what they love. For a certain type of fan, there is no clearer expression of that than pledging eternal devotion in front of a house that literally celebrates death.

Thirty Five Years of Love and the Afterlife
The Haunted Mansion Courtyard announcement is just one piece of Disney Weddings’ month-long celebration marking 35 years of engagements, weddings, vow renewals, honeymoons, and anniversaries. Since 1991, Disney has turned romance into an industry, and February 2026 is packed with weekly reveals ranging from new venues to fashion drops and engagement experiences.
This addition joins a lineup of Disneyland Resort ceremony locations that includes Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Rose Court Garden, but the Haunted Mansion stands apart. It isn’t elegant in the traditional sense. It’s theatrical. Morbid. Timeless. And for many fans, it’s the most honest venue Disney has ever offered.
Disney Weddings continues to operate across Walt Disney World Resort, Aulani in Hawaii, Disney Castaway Cay, and aboard Disney Cruise Line ships. Boutique Tours are also returning nationwide, offering couples a chance to sit down with consultants and decide just how much magic, or menace, they want tied into their big day.

Happily Ever After Has a Headstone Now
This isn’t a wedding for everyone, and that’s the point. It’s for people who grew up loving the creak of stretching walls more than wedding bells. For couples who understand that “till death do us part” is less a warning and more a suggestion.
The Haunted Mansion has always promised room for one more. Now it’s offering something even rarer. A wedding where the ghosts are permanent, the vows are eternal, and the romance comes with a little dirt under its fingernails.
Just remember. No running. No flash photography. And once you say “I do,” you might never really leave.
