Stormind Games wants gamers to be fully prepared for the upcoming Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy, the third and final chapter in the Remothered trilogy. To help set the stage, the developer has announced that both Remothered: Tormented Fathers and Remothered: Broken Porcelain will be receiving the remaster treatment. Both games are being rebuilt using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.
Stormind Games had this to say in the official press release:
"Stormind Games is proud to announce Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered, remastered editions of the first two chapters of the acclaimed survival horror franchise, which will also welcome its third installment later this year.
Both titles are being rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, introducing major visual and technical improvements while preserving the original gameplay, atmosphere, balance, and identity that made the series a standout in the genre.
Over the years, the Remothered franchise has established itself as one of the leading names in modern survival horror, carrying forward the legacy of the genre's classics while redefining it through a strong psychological and narrative focus."
The remastered editions will feature:
- An upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.
- More realistic lighting powered by Lumen technology.
- Richer, more detailed environments with 4K textures and Nanite technology.
- Enhanced character models.
- A redesigned user interface and menus.
- Updated cinematic sequences built to modern production standards.
- Fixes for legacy bugs found in the original releases.
- Overall improvements to stability and gameplay quality.
There is no word yet on whether these remastered editions will be offered as upgrades for owners of the original games or sold as separate releases. It's also unknown whether physical editions are planned.
Stormind Games has yet to announce release dates for either remaster or Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy, though all three titles are currently expected to arrive sometime in 2026.
