New Horror TV Series In Development From Clive Barker And Bryan Fuller

Bryan Fuller, the mind behind "Hannibal", isn’t just resting on his reputation. After bringing Mads Mikkelsen back for "Dust Bunny", Fuller has now turned his attention to a project that has horror fans buzzing. He’s teaming up with Clive Barker, the man who gave the world "Hellraiser", to create a brand-new television series. Everyone better get those S&M suits from the 90s ready!

Fuller told Screen Rant, “There’s so much that I want to do. I’m writing a script right now that hopefully will be my next directorial effort, and I’m collaborating with Clive Barker on a new television series that’s very exciting, and a dream come true from my childhood. It’s just a matter of time to bring them to life.

It’s been a while since Barker has been involved in a high-profile adaptation, but his influence is still alive in projects like the upcoming video game Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. Horror fans have long been waiting for Barker’s twisted imagination to surface in cinema or television, and this collaboration may finally deliver. This would have gore hounds drooling, and we must admit, we are very eager.

There's no denying Barker's reach in horror. He gave us Nightbreed, Hellraiser, and of course, Candyman. We are confident he is still as sharp as ever and will add just the level of horror legend to this project it needs.

Back in 2024, Barker spoke to Bloody Disgusting about his prolific output. “It’s time to focus entirely on writing. In the very room where I’m writing these words, I have the manuscripts for a very large number of projects (31 of them), some very close to completion, others still telling themselves. There are some wild projects in this collection of works, whether close to finished or done. There are also stories that you all knew I would be finishing. Abarat IV and V are amongst the books at my feet. So is the third and final book of The Art and the sequel to The Thief of Always.”

He added, “There are also return visits to characters and mythologies you may have thought I would never return to. I hope I am still able to surprise you in the decades ahead. And if you don’t see me at conventions, you’ll keep seeing new Clive Barker books being published, as well as some movie and television adaptations.”

Pairing Fuller’s eye for visually intense, psychologically sharp storytelling with Barker’s signature darkness is a match made in horror heaven. Expect a show that blends mind-bending narratives with the grotesque and inventive terror that only Barker can create.

This is the kind of collaboration that excites both longtime fans and newcomers. With decades of imagination to pull from, Fuller and Barker have the tools to craft something that will be equal parts mesmerizing, disturbing, and utterly unforgettable.

We'll be keeping our eyes on this one and report back.
