Fans have been eager to stalk the streets of Haddonfield as Michael Myers in the upcoming Halloween: The Game since it was announced, and slowly, more details are starting to surface. Today, a new look at the game finally pulls back the curtain, showing off a multiplayer experience built around tension, panic, and that constant feeling that you’re being watched. Because you are.
It’s a 1v4 setup where one player becomes Michael Myers, and the rest are just trying to make it out of Haddonfield in one piece. No powers. No plot armor. Just bad decisions and worse luck. Sounds like our senior year of high school...

If you’re playing as one of the locals, the goal is simple on paper and a nightmare in practice. Stick together, move fast, call for help, and don’t get separated. The problem is, The Shape doesn’t rush. He doesn’t need to. He watches, he waits, and when he moves, it’s already too late.
On the other side of it, stepping into Myers’ boots flips the whole thing. You’re not chasing, you’re hunting. Tracking movement, cutting people off, turning escape routes into dead ends. It’s less about speed and more about control. You’re not just killing players, you’re breaking them down first.
The developers are leaning hard into that classic slasher feel. Ordinary people are thrown into something they don’t understand, trying to survive long enough for someone to notice. Meanwhile, Michael is exactly what you expect. Silent. Patient. Relentless.
Maps are built around familiar pieces of Haddonfield, giving players just enough comfort to let their guard down before everything goes wrong. Every match plays out differently, depending on who panics first and who thinks they can be the hero.
