"MOUSER" Brings a Talking Cat and a Fractured Mind to VOD This July [TRAILER]

Breaking Glass Pictures has announced the upcoming release of its psychological horror feature Mouser, arriving on VOD July 14, 2026.

Written and directed by Mary Gallagher, the film follows Eleanor (Romina Valenti), a mentally unstable young woman whose grip on reality begins to collapse after a night out sends her into an increasingly disturbing psychological spiral. As she struggles to make sense of her deteriorating mental state, she encounters a sinister talking cat named Mouser, whose presence blurs the line between hallucination and reality.

According to the official synopsis, Eleanor is pulled into a surreal descent where paranoia, violence, and fractured identity collide, leaving both her and the audience questioning what is real.

Gallagher said the story explores the lasting effects of fear and unresolved trauma.

"I wanted to explore how fear and unresolved trauma can influence our choices. Mouser suggests that our greatest struggles are often internal, and I hope audiences leave questioning how fear can distort and control our lives."

The film stars Romina Valenti as Eleanor alongside Gavin O'Fearraigh, Stephen Moeller as the voice of Mouser, Michel Biel, Anastasia Lutz, Emma Cat, Maria Abreu, Chris Fisher, David Singleton, and Eugene Gallagher.
