Just when it seemed Marilyn Manson had disappeared back into the shadows, he's returned with another chapter in his ongoing comeback. Yes, we are fully aware of the past allegations, court proceedings, and boycotts. We get it, Manson ain't for everybody, and we're not trying to make light of any of those things. We're just focusing on the music here folks.
The shock rock icon has officially announced One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, arriving August 14 via Nuclear Blast Records. Once again co-written and co-produced with longtime collaborator Tyler Bates, the album continues the dark path Manson began carving with Chapter 1.
Alongside the announcement comes the record's first single, "Exit Wound," available now on all streaming platforms and you can watch the full video below.
For longtime fans, the track feels like a natural continuation of the bleak, cinematic atmosphere that defined the previous release. Thick industrial textures, haunting melodies, and a sense of unease hang over the song from beginning to end. It's the sound of an artist who seems far more interested in creating mood than chasing trends.
Whether you discovered Manson through the chaos of Antichrist Superstar,(Our favorite album by Manson), the gothic swagger of Mechanical Animals, or the scorched earth anger of Holy Wood, there's no denying his ability to create music that feels like it belongs in a horror film.
That's part of what has kept him connected to horror culture for more than three decades. His albums have always felt less like collections of songs and more like invitations into some decaying carnival operating just outside polite society.
If "Exit Wound" is any indication, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 looks poised to continue exploring those dark corners and we are psyched to travel there with every track on the new record.

One Assassination Under God - Chapter 2 Tracklist:
1. Unalive
2. Don’t Answer The Door
3. Front Toward Enemy
4. All The Vilest Things
5. None of the Suns
6. Lucifer’s Teardrop
7. The Arsonist
8. Exit Wound
9. Enantiomorph
The album arrives just days before Manson hits the road with fellow horror rock heavyweight Rob Zombie, giving fans plenty of fresh material to sink their teeth into before the tour kicks off.
