Latest Dev Diary For "HELLRAISER: REVIVAL" Reveals More Terrors In Hell Besides The Cenobites [VIDEO]

Hell is a big place, and if you thought the Cenobites would be the only big bads you would have to deal with in Saber Interactive's upcoming "HELLRAISER: REVIVAL", then you'd be dead wrong.

Saber Interactive has released a new developer diary that digs deeper into the twisted world awaiting fans when the first ever single player Hellraiser video game launches this October. The behind the scenes video once again features Doug Bradley discussing his return as Pinhead while members of the development team pull back the curtain on the game's enemies, disturbing themes and the emotional toll of bringing Clive Barker's nightmarish universe to life.

While we've already seen glimpses of the Cenobites, the latest reveal confirms players will also be facing two completely new factions, each offering its own unique brand of terror.

The first is the Scarlet Church, a fanatical cult led by a charismatic figure known as Marlowe. Obsessed with reaching the Cenobites, the cult seeks to unlock the power of the mysterious Genesis Configuration, hoping to create a debauched paradise where pain and pleasure become one. Rather than simply worshipping Hell's priests, they're determined to join them.

Then there are the Unworthy. These grotesque creatures were once human, individuals who sought the ultimate sensations only to be rejected by Leviathan, the ruler of the Labyrinth and creator of the Cenobites. Twisted into horrific abominations and denied ascension, the Unworthy now roam Hell as outcasts, desperately drawn to the Genesis Configuration in hopes of earning redemption. They're not Cenobites, nor are they members of the Scarlet Church. They're something far more tragic and unpredictable.

According to Saber Interactive, each faction has been designed to deliver a completely different combat experience, forcing players to adapt as they fight through both the world of the living and the Labyrinth itself.

From everything Saber has shown so far, Hellraiser: Revival appears determined to embrace the mythology that made Barker's creation so enduring. This isn't simply another horror game filled with monsters to shoot. It's a descent into obsession, temptation and suffering, where every enemy is driven by the pursuit of sensations beyond human comprehension.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival launches October 8 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Preorders are available now
