It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... It's Werewolf Wednesday here at TrulyDisturbing!
We're kicking things off with some incredible news, as one of the very best werewolf films of the past decade is finally getting the physical media release it has always deserved. The critically acclaimed 2017 horror film Good Manners is set to receive its first proper Blu ray release, with Icarus Films partnering with OCN Distribution to bring the film to collectors. Better yet, the release is now available for preorder through Vinegar Syndrome and includes a limited edition slipcover while supplies last.

Set in São Paulo, Good Manners follows Clara, a lonely nurse from the outskirts of the city who is hired by the mysterious and wealthy Ana to care for her soon to be born child. Against all odds, the two women form a powerful bond, but a fateful night beneath the light of a full moon changes everything.
Written and directed by Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, Good Manners marks the filmmakers' second collaboration. Featuring stunning cinematography by Rui Poças, the film delivers a hauntingly beautiful take on werewolf mythology that has often been described as "Disney meets Jacques Tourneur."

The Blu ray is also packed with bonus content that should make this release even more appealing to collectors, including:
- An audio commentary from film critics Shelagh Rowan-Legg and Carolyn Mauricette.
- A 12 page booklet featuring a new essay by film critic Nicolas Pedrero-Setzer.
- The Making of a Werewolf, a two minute behind the scenes short.
- A STEM (15 minutes), a short film directed by Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra.
- DOPPELGANGER (24 minutes), a short film directed by Juliana Rojas.
If you've somehow missed Good Manners, now is the perfect time to discover one of modern horror's most unique and emotionally rich werewolf films. And if you're already a fan, this long overdue physical release is more than worthy of a spot on your shelf. We'll be adding this one to the TrulyDisturbing library really soon.
