"GEARS OF WAR E-DAY" Release Date Announced For XBOX And PC [VIDEO]

Form up, Gears! Microsoft and The Coalition have set a release date for the next chapter in the legendary Gears of War saga. Set 14 years before the events of the first game, Gears of War: E-Day sets the stage for the war against the Locust Horde. Join Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as they witness the initial attack on humanity and the world of Sera.

The story centers on a brand new city for the series, the city of Kolona. This is a city of innovation and beautiful architecture, from neon covered streets to towering Art Deco buildings. Marcus and Dom are just adjusting to a life of peace after fighting in the brutal Pendulum Wars, but that peace is unfortunately short lived when sudden earthquakes give way to Emergence Holes and the Locust invade. Forced to pick up arms once again and hold back this new threat to humanity, Marcus and Dom will forge the unbreakable bond that only difficult times can create.

Gears of War: E-Day promises to be the biggest and baddest Gears yet. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, you can play alone, in two player split screen, or with up to four players online throughout the campaign. Along with the legendary PvP competitive multiplayer, E-Day also brings back the fan favorite PvE Horde mode with an updated twist. In Horde Siege, a 12 player mode pits three teams against the Locust Horde across a range of city based maps.
