‘Phantasm’ 5-Film Set Coming To DVD In September

Not quite as fancy as the Blu-Ray set, but a lot less expensive.

It’s been positively heartening to see all of the love that the Phantasm series has received over the last couple of years. Between the HD remaster of the original, the long-awaited release of the fifth film, ‘Ravager’, and two full-franchise blu-ray box-sets (one being a real ginchy region 2 number from Arrow Video), The Tall Man can finally stand tall, man, as a true icon of horror.

But what about the DVD diehards? Or the tight-wallet types? Or even those who like Phantasm, but not enough to want a replica Sentinel Sphere? Those fans, and the completists, too, will be able to pick up the ‘Phantasm: 5 Movie DVD Collection’ on September 19 from Well Go USA. The set is up for pre-order on Amazon right now for just a hair over twenty bucks. In case the price-tag pendulum appears to have swung dangerously into bare-bones territory, check the specs below to assuage any fear of a dearth of special features.
