The FarCry franchise has always been a favourite among gamers who like a bit of weirdness to their open-world shooters. The first title, FarCry allowed you to turn into a feral beast of a man and rip apart as many people as you possibly can, all the while a story is unfolding around you. The third in the series is a personal favourite, an epic drug induced venture into the unknown depths of the human mind and soul. Blood Dragon is kickback to the old days of VHS and Sci-Fi/Action grindhouse entertainment. One central theme holds the lot of them together, left in a strange place to fend for yourself, and to brutally disembowel everyone in your path. Ubisoft has announced today that the 10-Year Anniversary Compilation, titled FARCRY: THE WILD EXPEDITION is coming to all EMEA countries. The bundle will be available on the PS3 and the XBox 360, on February 21st of this year, at a low price of £29.99 and on PC at £24.99.

Since its debuts in 2004, Far Cry has become one of the most beloved and acclaimed First Person Shooter franchises, proposing in each of its releases a unique and fresh take on the genre and seducing the players by the quality and depth of the experiences it offered. All those games have scored 80% or above on Metacritic and Far Cry 3 was even the highest rated shooter of 2012*. Far Cry The Wild Expedition Compilation is a great opportunity to discover or re-discover all the main Far Cry opuses that have left an indelible mark in the video-games landscape, from the innovations of the original game to the retro-futuristic mayhem of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
In addition to the release of this retail compilation, for £7.99 players can experience Far Cry Classic as a standalone downloadable title and return to all the action and chilling gameplay that made Far Cry legendary. With graphical enhancements, revamped cut-scenes, and a fresh new user interface, Far Cry Classic is already available for the Xbox LIVE Arcade and will be released tomorrow on February 12th, on the Sony PlayStation Network.

This is where you find yourself stranded, caught in a bloody conflict between psychotic warlords and indigenous rebels, where your only escape is through drugs or the muzzle of a gun. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon – The year is 2007. It is the future. You are Sergeant Rex Colt: Mark IV Cyber Commando. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war, which erupted in the 90s.
