The original scream queen, Jamie Lee Curtis, will be returning to television to star in a new series on ABC Family. The reason this is so awesome is because it’s a horror based show. We can’t wait! Read on for the details.
Per Deadline, ABC Family has closed a deal for a high-profile horror spec script by writer Jeff Dixon, which has Jamie Lee Curtis attached to star and Steve Miner to direct and executive produce if the project goes to pilot. While the project has not yet been greenlit, it is being put on a fast track.
Titled “The Final Girls,” the series will revolve around a group of girls who have, in essence, survived their own personal horror stories and are brought together by a mysterious older woman (Curtis) to channel the stress and scars of their experience for some greater good.
Curtis has not been on a regular TV series since 1989.
