It’s about time R.L. Stine gets some big time films made for his epic kids horror books. Goosebumps was the best kid friendly horror tv show/Book series back in the 90s (or any time really) and now we get a big screen adaption of one of them featuring Jack Black? Read on for the details.
Neal H. Moritz, who helped steer Universal’s Fast & Furious franchise back on the blockbuster track, is producing with Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment.
If Black’s deal closes, he would reunite with director Rob Letterman, who worked with him on Gulliver’s Travels and Shark Tale.
According to an individual close to the project, Black would play a Stine-like author whose scary characters literally leap off the page, forcing him to hide from his own creepy creations.
