If you have never witnessed the the amazing portrayal Jeffrey Combs does of Edgar Allan Poe then this story is for you and you! Believe us, the man IS Poe.
Stuart Gordon directed the stage play that was a huge success of the same name back in 2009. Combs played Poe during one of his public readings and, through the course of the night, Poe would become very drunk. It was an amazing performance. Now we have word that a film is being made.
The news comes from director Gordon via his Twitter account, and honestly? We could not be more pleased.
Set in 1848, Nevermore is loosely based on real events and follows Poe on a cross-country speaking tour fraught with strange occurrences that signal his descent into madness. Epic, just epic.
