Read on to find out what happens when you decide to build your house extremely close to the site of one of the most infamous murders in history…
The year is 2002 and the place is Los Angeles. David Oman, a private investigator, is bored with his career and wants to build a house. His father shows him a classified ad for a lot in Beverly Hills. The cost? Forty thousand dollars. They go to check it out on Cielo Drive. David, not being a doofus, decides to snatch up the bargain and builds a three level modern masterpiece. As he prepares for his housewarming party he hears a tapping at the door, he opens it and of course no one is there. All of his friends are very impressed with his new digs. One friend went to the kitchen for more wine and sees a man walk by outside. The only freaky thing about that is the window is about twenty feet off the ground. After the party Lisa, David’s girlfriend, decides to go to bed alone. The door opens and assuming it is David she calls his name. When she gets no response she turns and sees the same man that was walking past the window.
David decides to go into investigator mode and finds out why Cielo Drive sounded so familiar to him. His house is located about one hundred and twenty five feet from the infamous Manson murders. That night David and his friends Jeff and Kashmir head to the theater room to catch a flick when they hear spooky whispering coming from the intercom system. As David goes upstairs, in vain, to investigate the voices in the theater room get louder and then stops completely. David returns and Jeff decides he wants to take a look. As he climbs the stairs to the second floor he sees a mist that is whirling right toward him. He feels it go straight through him and the force presses him against the wall.
David and Jeff gear up and put cameras in all the rooms and after all the set up David is so exhausted he falls asleep on the couch. Jeff is using a handheld camera in David’s bedroom and something starts shaking the lens as if it’s trying to pull it right out of his hands. He goes to his computer to see if he caught anything and after some tweaking he hears a male voice say, “Jeffrey don’t shoot me”. In the middle of the night David awakens to sounds coming from the theater room. Armed with his gun he heads down and finds the projector running. He assumes that he forgot to shut it off and goes back to bed. He goes back to bed and is again woken up. He sees the unidentified man again and then he vanishes.
The following day Jeff shows David the tape he recorded in his room. David decides to head to the LAPD and his friend on the force brings a plethora of crime scene photos to go through. He finds a picture of a young man in a suit, it is the same man that he and his friends have been seeing. His name was Jay Sebring and he was one of Sharon Tate’s friends who died in the now torn down home on Cielo Drive. David decides to call in the big guns and asks Alma Carey, a psychic to investigate the house. He leaves her to her own devices and she immediately feels uneasy and very cold. She sees a blonde woman walking on the first floor. She asks David if his girlfriend is home and he of course says no.
Jeff and Kashmir come over to assist in a séance that Alma wants to perform. One of the candle flames in the room bends to a ninety degree angle. When Alma asks if it is Sharon every light in the room goes out and Kashmir’s chair is forcefully pulled backward. They hear a blood curdling scream and Alma doubles over in pain clutching at her stomach and she falls to the floor in the fetal position saying that she feels like she is being stabbed. David believes that she was experiencing Sharon Tate’s final moments when she was brutally stabbed in her stomach, killing her unborn child, and eventually her. David still lives in the house and experiences regular paranormal activity. This episode was spooky, but for some real horror this serial killer buff suggests you read into the Tate-LaBianca murders for yourself. Thanks for reading friendos!
