Due to scheduling conflicts we have learned that Emma Stone had to drop out of Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming horror romp, Crimson Peak. Never fear though, another young familiar face has risen to the challenge. Mia Wasikowska (Alice In Wonderland, Stoker) is just that face and we have the goods below. Dig it!
Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch and Charlie Hunnam have all signed up to star in Legendary Pictures and Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, and The Wrap now reports that they may soon be joined by Alice in Wonderland and Stoker actress Mia Wasikowska.
Providing that any scheduling issues can be worked out, the actress will take over the role that Emma Stone was originally up for; that of, “a young author named Edith Cushing who discovers that her charming new husband is not who he appears to be.”
Del Toro wrote the haunted house thriller – which is set to begin production in February 2014 – with Matthew Robbins and Lucinda Coxon, and is expected to make this his first movie after the epic looking Pacific Rim.
