Amazon Slashes Zombieland: The Series

Amazon gives Zombieland: The Series its inevitable head shot.

Amazon.com has decided not to continue with any future episodes of ZOMBIELAND: THE SERIES. The pilot was launched through the online retailer in April and received little praise from its viewers. The series still has the potential to be picked up elsewhere in the future.

I’m really not surprised by this announcement from Amazon. The chemistry that existed between Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin just wasn’t there in the pilot between the new actors portraying Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock. Also, releasing a series based on a film from 2009 was pretty bad timing considering how current moviegoers have short attention spans and most likely forgot all about ZOMBIELAND by now.

I guess Amazon felt that ZOMBIELAND: THE SERIES didn’t comply with Survival Rule #8 of Zombieland: Get a kick ass partner.
