THE PURGE gets purged of its original release date, moved back a week

We are really interested in seeing The Purge but news has come to us that the film will be delayed a week. Read on to find out why below.

Instead of debuting on May 31st, you can now expect to find it in theaters on June 7th. We know it’s just a week but damn it we wanted it in May(June is going to be hectic).

The thriller – starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey has a lot of appeal for a summer hit, whether that be box office or cult is yeta to be determined.

The film is produced by Blumhouse Productions and directed by James DeMonaco.

In an America wracked by crime, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity – including murder – is legal.  The police can’t be called.  Hospitals suspend help.  It is one night when the citizenry regulates itself without thought of punishment.  On this night plagued by violence and an epidemic of crime, one family wrestles with the decision of who they will become when a stranger comes knocking.

Thanks to for the trailer.
