Prepare to be scared! Director found for GOOSEBUMPS movie

R.L. Stine has got to be every kid who grew up in the 90’s favorite horror author. His series of Gossebump books changed the mainstream of horror relevance in kids literature forever. Now we have word on a full length movie being made and a director has been found! Read on for the news.

goosebumpsDeadline reports that Monsters vs. Aliens and Gulliver’s Travels director Rob Letterman is in talks to helm.

Screenwriters Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander (1408) previously worked on adapting the material before Carl Ellsworth (Disturbia) was brought on board in 2010, followed by Darren Lemke (Jack the Giant Killer) last year.

Neal Moritz is producing the film through his Original Film banner with Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment.

The “Goosebumps” series have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide, second only to the “Harry Potter” series in total sales.

We personally LOVED these books and hope the film does the series and R.L. Stine justice.
