Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum, and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon looking to enter THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN

Awhile back MGM announced they would be doing a remake of the late 70’s classic The Town That Dreaded Sundown. More news has developed and of course we bring it to you. Read on for the details.

the-town-that-dreaded-sundoIt was announced today at an “American Horror Story” press day that Alfonso Gomez-Rejon is in talks to direct with Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum producing.

Charles B. Pierce directed the original tale, which was loosely based on a true story. The film follows Texarkana residents terrorized by the “Phantom Killer” during the late ’40s.

In addition to directing episodes of “American Horror Story”, Gomez-Rejon served as the second unit director on Ben Affleck’s Argo.
