I have been writing about Indie Horror Filmmakers for a little over a year and been watching them for much longer; I have had the pleasure of meeting some very great people. Every day I spend many hours searching through Indie Horror Film projects on various crowdfunding sites as well as any other open source that I can find. I have found a lot of projects that really need the support of the people. Support comes in many ways; I support the filmmakers by writing and reviewing their movies in hopes that they can have more success. This has never been about money for me and still is not about money.
I love indie horror and all projects that are being created by people that also love what they are doing. This Film Festival has always been a dream of mine and originally I was only going to go with small screenings; that was until I met the owners of the Missouri Festival & RV Park in Dixon, Missouri. They seemed very excited and told me that they would help me host the event. At that point I realized that this is really happening! I get to host my very own Indie Horror Film Festival!!!
I have been in contact with many Indie Horror Filmmakers about this project and they are all equally as excited about this as I am, I have many confirmations about film submissions and potential guests showing up. We are working hard to provide most amazing event to hit Mid-Missouri in quite some time and to be able to host this event for many years to come! We are also taking Band Submissions from Indie Rock/Metal bands to have the chance to appear and play to our audience!
