Exclusive Video Interview: Creative Director John Murdy Discusses HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 2012

It’s about that time again horror fiends! As the stores ready their shelves with an assortment of Halloween Scares, John Murdy and the crew at UNIVERSAL’S HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS ready the Universal grounds for this years Horror event. Truly Disturbing got a chance to view the genius of make-up artist Larry Bones and his special effects crew in this years make-up demonstration presented on the morning of September 6th 2012.

As we gazed upon some of horror’s most disturbed characters, such as Leatherface and Pyramid Head, a team of make-up artists were scattered throughout preparing a taste of the morbid things to come. Tons of spirit gum and various pieces of latex later we were able to view some truly horrific beings which will without a shout of doubt bring on the scares.

It’s clear that Murdy and company have a clear vision of what it takes to scare the living daylights out of people and they plan to do that come September 21st. This year promises to immerse its guests into a world of scare with “THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD INSIDE” taking center stage with a brand new maze. Also “THE WALKING DEAD” will be featured in Universal’s updated “Terror Tram”.

Among the new mazes are “WELCOME TO SILENT HILL” and “ALICE COOPER GOES TO HELL 3D”, which the inspiration for the latter is discussed in our Exclusive Interview with John Murdy.
