Logline revealed for Unauthorized EVIL DEAD 4 sequel

What the hell is a logline? Well, it’s a brief rundown of the films budget, runtime, and who will star as well. Check out the one for the recently shot down Evil Dead 4.

The film was an unauthorized sequel spearheaded by a Connecticut-based company called Award Pictures which believed it could move in on the Evil Dead rights.  Raimi sued the company and, this week, a judge put a block on the sequel.

Moviehole landed this sales listing:

EVIL DEAD IV: CONSEQUENCES: Horror, 136 mins. Prod co: Award Pictures. Prod/scr: Graham MacCrae, Glenn MacCrae. Budget: $71m. Pre-production. Delivery date: 2004. Ash may need a hand fighting deadites, demons, the FBI and reality TV.”

As you can see, Award Pictures had been working on making this film happen for quite some time. Lets be realistic though, a 136 min runtime? And a $71 million dollar budget? Sheesh it’s a miracle they had anyone interested.

Sort of glad this fell through. I just couldn’t imagine a Evil Dead without Sam Raimi.
