The Evil Dead remake will start filming relatively soon and with that, star Jane Levy has a few words about her role in the film.
We know so far that a male Ash character will not be in this flick. Yet that won’t stop us from checking it out either way. Jane Levy stars as the films heroine and had some pretty cool things to say about the film.
Levy told The Insider:
“I’m so excited. I’m a big fan of the original. To me it’s the scariest movie, ever. But this one is really different. They’ve changed it a lot, but it’s still a pretty gory movie. My mom probably can’t see it. As for the tone, I think the humor in the first one came from the special effects of the time. I don’t know that they meant it to be funny…this one is not funny. It’s definitely dark.”
The outlet also spoke to Campbell, who serves as a producer on the film. And while he didn’t necessarily say anything new, he did confirm the evil trees will be back this time and “They’re not terribly well-behaved this time either,” he said.
Those horny trees are back! And we couldn’t be happier!
More news as it develops. The Evil Dead will start filming in New Zealand.
