It’s a Monday night, there’s not much on TV to watch now that American Horror Story is finished, what can you do? Well, Watch may have the answer with their latest show to come out of America, and it’s sure to be a belter.
Grimm starts on UKTV’s channel Watch at 9.00pm tomorrow night and it looks like it could well be your next fix for a bit of horror and the supernatural blended with the world of crime. Check out the trailer for the upcoming show below.
With the creators of Buffy and Angel behind this project it looks as though this could well be a big hit with audiences. As the trailer suggest, we’re about to encounter a whole world we didn’t think existed, from goblins to evil hags, Grimm looks to have a different approach to your usual crime dramas.
Here’s the full details on the show:
From the executive producers of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, comes a fantastical world of police detective work where all cases have a storybook connection… but not always a happy ever after.
Grimm, set in Portland, Oregon puts a dark new twist on the Brothers Grimm stories. The tales once adored by generations have become a dark reality and only one person can stop the villains.
In this supernatural beast-ridden series, no knight in shining armour will save the day. Instead, homicide detective, Nick Burckhardt (David Giuntoli), assumes the role of unlikely hero. When Nick begins to see things that he can’t quite explain – beautiful women transforming into hideous hags and average Joe’s evolving into vicious trolls – he begins to question his sanity.
Everywhere Burckhardt looks he sees monstrous creatures. Destined to take on the misfortune of his family, Nick becomes ever more entwined in the ancient Grimm tales. He finds it hard to hide the dangers of his identity from his fiancée, Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and his partner, Hank (Russell Hornsby). The only person Nick can trust with the truth is Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), a reluctant informant and reformed Grimm creature, who helps him unravel each case.
Will Nick successfully navigate through the forces of a larger-than-life mythology, facing off with Hexenbiests, Blutbads and all manner of ancient evils – or fall cruelly to their victim?
If that wasn’t enough, here are some exclusive pictures from the show to whet your appetite even more.
Grimm starts on UK channel Watch (Sky channel 109, Virgin Media channel 124) on Monday 13th February at 9.00pm.
The show stars David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch and Russell Hornsby.
