The heavens have opened up and a LEGION television series is coming to SYFY

Are you ready for a war in heaven to break loose and consume earth in a terrible furry? Yeah, we aren’t either but don’t worry, it’s just the plot behind the newly announced Legion tv series. Read on for the details below.

Deadline reports that a television series adaptation is being developed for Syfy. Oh more angelic fighting than ya can throw a stick at!

The original film, written by Stewart and Peter Schink, starred Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Kevin Durand, Tyrese Gibson, Adrianne Palicki, Dennis Quaid and Kate Walsh and told the apocalyptic tale of the fallen Archangel Michael (Bettany), who comes to Earth to warn of its impending destruction at the hands of angels.

“Sons of Anarchy” writer Vaun Wilmott is attached to draft the series, which will be produced by Sony Pictures TV.

There is a rumor that some of the films cast were signed on for a sequel to the film but with this new show being made, could we see them come to the small screen instead? Only heaven knows.
