This is a sad day for fans of the great story, Paradise Lost. Looks as though Legendary Pictures will not be pursuing the film after all. Read on for the details.
Legendary Pictures is not moving forward with Paradise Lost, the film from director Alex Proyas and starring Bradley Cooper.
Variety reports that, once again, budget problems were the main concern.
Legendary stopped pre-production awhile ago to re-write the script in order to lower the films budget. Guess that didn’t work out to well.
Many sources have said that the special effects and CGI wasn’t where it needed to be in order to pull the film off.
Based on John Milton’s 17-century poem, the film was to focus on a war in heaven and the rivalry between the archangel’s Michael and Lucifer. Brothers at war if you really think about it.
Cooper was to star alongside Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, Dominic Purcell, Callan McAuliff, Camilla Belle and Casey Affleck.
