Drew Daywalt is a very dear friend to us here at Truly Disturbing. He is probably the only director I know that truly “gets” horror. So when news came our way about his new Leprechaun inspired flick, we had to bring it to you fine fiends. Dig on the news below.
Last October our good friends over at ShockTillyoudrop.com gave us the scoop about Drew Daywalt’s new Leprechaun film. With the title being just that (Leprechaun) many believed the film to be a remake of the Warwick Davis cult classic….it ain’t so stop asking!
Daywalt’s production is an original script penned by Anthony C. Ferrante and is part of the After Dark Originals slated for this year.
Daywalt revealed, via his Facebook page last night, that the film is now entitled Red Clover. Knowing Drew as well as we do, you can count on him editing like a mad man now that production is finished.
The film stars Billy Zane, William Devane, Kelly Washington, Courtney Halverson, Azure Parsons, Matty Ferraro and Kevin Mangold.
Synopsis: Sixty-six years ago, the town of Irish Channel in Louisiana was the site of a horrible massacre on St. Patrick’s Day. Some blame a terrible storm that blew through the town, but those that were there don’t speak of the truth. Due to petty superstitions, St. Patrick’s Day festivities were banned for the last 66 years, but now, the new Mayor wants to tempt fate and celebrate.
