The Vault just came out with it’s premier issue and now it’s already going to be made into a film! Fast work Hollywood.

The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that GK Films and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil have grabbed the rights.

From writer Sam Sarkar and artist Garrie Gastonny, Image Comics officially describes the three-issue miniseries as follows:

A small team of treasure hunters struggles to excavate a dangerous and legendary treasure pit before a massive storm hits Sable Island, the ‘Graveyard of the North Atlantic’. Equipped with all the latest technology, the scientists believe they are prepared against all of nature’s fury, but nothing can prepare them for what they are about to unleash from The Vault.

No word on whether Depp will appear in The Vault but Christi Dembrowski will produce on behalf of Nihil with Graham King and Tim Headington doing so for GK.

More news as it comes.
